I hate split screen. Its the real deal!!! Very slick tech and looks solid :. Nothing new about this tech. There's is no tech actually, you just need modified polarized glasses. Take two pairs of regular cheap polarized glasses. Swap out the lenses so that one set uses all the left lenses, the other set uses all the right lenses.

Now you can run split screen in 3d mode and both players will see their own screen. The only thing is, it will stretch the split screen to full screen so it will be a little stretched, this is where Sony is probably tweaking games to make them output two full screens instead of two split screens.

You can see there's a little bit of bleeding from another players view using polarized glasses so by going with shutter glasses sony eliminated that problem. I can't wait for the next gen when we can have 3D games running at p instead of half whatever resolution the game runs at. It's especially awful with p games being halved.
