Voices quiet in windows media player


















I know lots of people complain about this. Sir you are a legend. Had been troubled by the volume issue since I purchased my HP laptop. AC3filter suggestion solved it all. Thank you so so much mate. Problem solved. I have the ffdshow decoder installed and fire up every time I reproduce a CD. Thank you. It increased the audio as you said. Thanks lot. If you are using windows media player, try playing with the graphic equalizer settings. It made a big difference on my toshiba.

Wow,After installing the AC3 filter the problem was solved. I had this same problem with low DVD playback volume and solved it a bit differently. Unfortunately, this seems only to work when using Windows Media player which I thoroughly despise, but it does indeed work. I have been facing this problem since years. Now I can watch my favorite movies happily. After installing the AC3 filter the problem was solved. I did not even have to change any settings…simply installing it with its defaults was enough.

Thanx, hobster, for the VLC tip. Another good way to give some digital gain to the audio is to use VLC videolan. I some times also use the equalizer to have a curve that boost the middle frequencies.

I don't know if this will help you but I have noticed many playing many dvds on my computer that often the voices are only on the centre channel, so with 4 other channels they are prone to getting swamped out.

I have the same problem you have, only i have it when i'm playing some mp3's probabley also with playing dvd's, but i don't know because i don't watch them on pc When pull the jacket don't know if this is the correct word the end of the cable that you put in the holes at the back of your pc a bit out of the pc the voices or lot louder and the music is silent.
